The house the world
came to fear.

On a quiet stretch of Round Top Road in Burrillville, Rhode Island, stands the real farmhouse that has unsettled visitors for nearly three centuries. This is where the Perron family lived — and what they witnessed here made it one of the most documented haunted homes in America. The doors are open to those brave enough to spend the night.

The Legend

A farmhouse that never let its history go

Built in 1736, the house has passed through generations of Rhode Island families across nearly three hundred years. When the Perron family moved in during 1970, they began to experience the events that would make the property famous the world over — events documented at length and eventually carried to the screen.

Today the house stands much as it did then. It is not a set and not a replica. It is the genuine building, on the genuine land, kept open for investigators, historians, and the simply curious who want to experience its atmosphere for themselves.
