What this site is, and what it isn’t
This is an independent archive about a farmhouse built in 1736 at 1677 Round Top Road in Burrillville, Rhode Island. It exists because the widely repeated version of this property’s history is substantially wrong, and the documented version — deeds, town records, obituaries, court and trademark filings — is more interesting. It is not the property’s website. It does not own the house, does not operate it, sells no access to it, and is not affiliated with its owner, its operator, or the studio that made the film. If you came looking to book something, this is the wrong site, and the paragraph below explains where to look instead.

No visit, tour, or overnight can be arranged through this site. The property is private and occupied land on a residential road, and access — when it exists at all — is arranged solely by whoever operates it.
As of 2026 that question is genuinely unsettled: the entertainment licence was not renewed in November 2024, a deed was recorded in June 2026, and litigation over the mortgage and the validity of that sale is still before the Rhode Island Superior Court.
